The First Cry Of Life

A baby being born

a new life is switched on

there be a cry lasting long

that be the sign of life with a belong.

The cry otherwise not heard

signals a consequence dire in the stead

that be not everything alright

there be an anomaly in sight.

Crying turns out to be a significance

which ordinarily calls for a weakness

that reflecting a sadness and apprehension

being an outcome of strain and tension.

The baby’s first cry spreads joy

the mother looking at the boy

beaming with pride and achievement

that of begetting a child with nourishment.

The baby then sleeps cosily

attended to with great care and easily

as the timely feeds by the mother

proves sufficient appeasing his hunger.

The first cry being really important

as the sound becoming pertinent

representing the evolution of life

also implying the boy’s future strife.

Singing to her baby
a lullaby they say
she sings not from prescribed verse
makes her own song spontaneously
loads them with her feelings
adds her love to the baby

a lovely expression set to no musical tune
accompanied by no beat or rhythm
touches the heart of the listener
putting the babe to a sound sleep
the song, no lullaby, tells a lot
a different song with a distinctive tune

The Vast Blue Ocean

The sea out there in the vast expanse

looks calm and beautiful gleaming blue

creating a sensational delivery and a pleasant accommodation

where we relax and enjoy for a short respite

filling the lungs with the fresh salty wind

that brush past the face cooing closely into the ears.

Being so, an export and import

depositing the wealth of the sea on land

taking back that which is found on land

the commercial transactions on the go

being introduced by the loving ocean earlier.

A to and fro movement along with a stimulation

that makes it more of an enchanting space

than being an endangered place .

The waters hold hundreds of dwellings for habitation

with the fish found in abundance

along with whales ,tortoise, sea gulls and sea animals .

Enhancing the value of the sea there be

the growth of coral reef and pearl sheaths

being all a passage for travel and transactions

an exotic piece of nature lively and enchanting

exhibiting beauty and grace in largess

exposing risk and danger expressed in its unpredictability

The ocean locked up in silence bursts with a roar

gulping a many a lovable living and material filling

with a swallow and devour all too sudden

being a great force possessing a velocity unknown

the sea is the harbinger of civilization

and the hub of commercial transactions

all in one go with a swipe genial and a strike harsh.

The Bundle Of Joy

The little boy being unruly
screaming with joy
seemingly a loving act
mumbling with discomfort
indicating a sign of uneasiness
going by his shrieks and cries
every action of him be a play
delighting all around with cheer
being a mother of such a boy
always on toes with a vigour
making a move fast with a rigour
beyond any cope up and posing a stress
proves hard and bothersome
at times gets beyond control
she losing her sleep and rest
not careful in her schedules
falling down in exasperation
wishing someone could handle him
if being offered to take up
reluctant to share with others
feeling the little boy mischievous
being her own bundle of joy.

The Pathos

The pathos that generate

hearing a narration

being one of sad or being glad

a gush of emotions there be

rising up in a spurt

unable to suppress

the sympathy overwhelms

blinding the reason

not wanting to analyse

be it true or false

the power being so vivacious

that pursues an extension

where aid comes upfront

and the physical rendition accompanies

as being genuine in the appeal

there be no second thoughts one feels

when turning to be a drama

the anger and feel of cheat rises

promoting a disaster horrible.

With that the pity turns into a vengeance

the sympathy has led to a deprivation

and the compassion culminating into a desolation.

The boats sail smoothly over the waters
the fishermen singing with joy
catching a treasure after few pulls
they being not only of fish
but a drenched bag very heavy
the hook being sharp and slender
could hold not such pressure
the weight tries to slip into the waters
painstakingly retrieved from the fall
the men thought they having pulled a lot
decided to return home before dusk
with the air being conducive and pleasant
sailed back home in glee and expectation
eager to open and see what is in it
On their return they took the bag to a corner
where no one dare to enter and eavesdrop
unfastened the bag and found wholesome treasure
that of sea water pearl having a value very high
with gleaming eyes they came back home
uttering not a word to anyone for fear of spy.

going on to the table ,itself an ornamental presentation
laid with dressing and sophistication
looking sumptuous and lovely
gleaming with glory
the red telling about being hot
the green presenting a freshness
the yellow adding to the sobriety
the white talking about the purity
with the condiments adding to the flavour
the aroma enticing the appetite
with the love to eat and the huger to be appeased
the designs provoke a desire
with that there goes on a healthy, wealthy
with a pronounced grandeur and setting
being a feast to the eyes and to the palate

Honey Being Sweet.

Honey is sweet everyone knows

it is also slightly bitter many do not know

depending on the source of the collection

everyone should know.

The bees go round the garden

be that of any field for that matter

selecting the best possible resource

setting about with an indulgence.

Sitting on the flower blooming fully well

protruding well ahead from the stalk

the buzzing bees settle strongly on them

pulling out the maximum from the pollens.

The busy bees do go above the branches

that come out of the fruit trees

invariably mango, neem and tamarind

that grow in abundance in the tropics.

The honey from these trees

have a tinge of bitterness and sourness

that which being natural in the fruits they bear

having a potential medicinal value.

The honey that being gathered

get deposited in the racks made by man and nature

where the Queen bee does the extraction

while the honey starts dripping.

The story of honey related the task

that being not sweet as it tastes

quite exasperating as it is seen

yet serving mankind with good cash and kind.

Honey being a word referring to sweet heart

the sweetness ascribed to it comes after a task

an analogy crosses the mind know not why

that true love too comes after serious deliberation.

Legacy Passes On

The genes they say
get reflected in the looks
a semblance being found
between mother and daughter.

Finding themselves in appearance
thoughts do catch them
being predominantly seen
as revealed in interactions and speech.

Apparently genes flow across the qualities
might be not shown openly
surfacing explicitly in the behaviour
the resemblance being pronounced.

Watching carefully the attitude of two girls
with whom I am closely associated
drew a parallel between then and their grandmother
they not live close but far away from each other.

They being together for a month in two years
do talk over the modern gadgets
but the two girls subconsciously inherited a quality
that of loving their home much .

The grandmother being tied to her home
enamoured by its charm get things done over a phone
the girls do not relish to venture out
wanting to relax in the comfort of their homes.

This made me deliberate for a while
wherein and how do these children learnt being so
concluded I that it is not learning but inheritance
a legacy being passed on to them from their senior
