A Disgrace.


Sleeping with the windows all closed

with curtains pulled over   safe and secured

with the air conditioner buzzing

and the fan revolving

the sun rise is never seen being a treat

nor the birds early morning greets

else the breeze that kisses your face

all go without being heard or being traced

knowing not for ever  intensely

how much  of nature’s liveliness

that bid the mind and body

that send significant energy down the system

goes unseen and unfelt

Not being the fault of Nature

very much the practice of human

seeking solace in artificiality

ignoring the natural benefits in a sensation

then go in search of such relaxation

where again the fellow-man makes money

with resorts and spas all over in plenty TLBestof_2010

A disgrace to man  indeed!

Getting Stabbed


Get stabbed on the back
has been from time long back
right from Brutus to the modern politician
there seems a lot not in deviation
that being a stabbing consciously
very much not in front but n back vehemently.

Be not in politics alone I say
it being found in families in a way
with one holding fort and proposing strength
the other getting over  and distracting the strength
demoralise the one who stood all the time
being hoodwinked and let down in no time.

As traditions go there has to be a tolerance in families
where nothing could be hastily executed in release
as in mind there are the children and the reputation
that has to be given priority  in the primary session
with that the precipitation of breaking off gets delayed
and the hurt continues to lurk and linger in the family trade.download (31)

The Dark Horse.


The horse being dark
download (30)looking like a dried bark
stood tired and exhausted
by the side of the lane .

The children playing around
went in a merry-go-round
as the horse stood lonely
munching the grass  thoroughly.

It being a race horse once
now thrown away in a bounce
abandoned by its masters now
away in the wilderness under the bough.

Painful to see the dark horse unclaimed
once a stallion of pride  and well deigned
appearing like a haggard on the street
well , that is how men go about the beat.

There Goes The Entertainment


There being an entertainment 

with dance and dinner

with song and drama

all in a frenzied mood

with a chatter and a clatter

the people in gay mood

with smiles all over

dressed in their finery

the ladies with extra care

touch ups here and there

painted heavily with make ups

lipstick, nail polish and mascara

wearing heavy expensive jewellery download (29)

while the men in their best suits

freshly shaven with lotions on

smelling with aroma  from flowers

the food displayed sumptuously

courting many to their delight

a plain menu on the first

added with cuisines from east and west

they too being garnished great

colorfully deigned  and on ornate plates

with the waiters standing in attention

all throwing out an extravaganza

while I see four little eyes

peeping through the hedges

eagerly savouring the dishes

they being not allowed inside

nor permitted to touch

as they belong to a genre

much lower than the participants

not because of their birth

bu t due to their financial status

being poor and needy

that being no fault of theirs.

The Vibrations


The vibrations they say

being positive and negative in a way

found in each place as energy

juxtaposed by forces  in synergy

that are known and unknown

keep the world  without strain.

 

What are vibrations? I ask

finding the answer is a task

as none knows its full context

as it lies in a region of unbelievable text

keeping people like me to wonder.

 

 

Knowing not what are vibrations till date

I sit perplexed over the energies controlling the fate

knowing well that positive and negative be found in science

they being the reflection of reality in   compliance

keeping  the scientists truly on toes.

 

Nature being a great teacher as I understand

as almost all its features  that  are in the a band

get expressions in science and  technology

there being no better  parallel and analogy

I Do Write Anything


It is easy to write anything

that comes in your mind

there should be something

directing to a find.

 

Writing anything under the sun

is but the practice of me

let it be heavy or fun

I fill the pages in a spree.

 

 

Might be taxing to some

the anything and everything

on the whole it is awesome

as it revolves round something.

 

The thought just pops out

then drops out in the posts

writinggushing up with a spurt out

holding the attention of most.

 

This is what I think

when Iwrite with an impetus

sometimes I do blink

as  it appears  an empty fetus

 

The concept which I frame

formulate the words I write

my poems be not of fame

but they portray the right.

 

I write anything that comes to my mind.

Nothing could stop me from penning

I go in search of no greater finds .

I tend always to go about honing.

Living Thus


The household being small

being only two of us in all

that has grown to such size now in a way

after the children  have moved away

there being  calm and composure all throughout

with nothing of a noise both in and out

the guests coming and going in a flow

ever being a floating crowd in the go

entertaining them now and then with  refreshments

that has been our alibi for  years without amendments

being so greatly all the time  altogether

the sudden influx of occupants   rather

mystifies both of us to the core

keeping us baffled all the more

getting adjusted  to the new trend

forces us to lose ourselves in a bend

without showing it out in  full strength

manage the whole affair  in a breadth

that much more not revealed to anyone

kept within our hearts all in one.

The Inflow And The Outflow


That  which is getting out

is one that came in

whether it be an element

be it a substance real

be t anything physical

more so being abstract.

 

The happiness that is expressed

comes from a feel of joy experienced

be it a success in a poll

be it an achievement with great toil

be it an announcement  of an event

behind all such events lie the experiences

 

 

The sadness that is felt

emanates from the strain one undergoes

be it a failure in examinations

be it a  setback after great effort

be it a news or a situation

on the back we find  the endurance .

 

Thus being the life in a fold

with that coming in

finding its  way out

with the incapacity to hold

the system insists on a delivery

causing an outbreak more so.

The Family Opposite.


There being a family on the opposite 

all very lively and loving on sight

The father being the commanding

while the mother doing all work with no backing

The eldest one always up to pranks

the second one being   very frank

The little one being so tiny

clings to the mother closely

The family have lived here for ages

not moving to any other place  in stages

 

 

They become active in the mid morning

walking over my hedges  to my back yard dancing

for the fruits that grow there  in abundance

they being juicy and lascivious

while the father, mother and the younger ones

go through the hedges making no  noise  even once

the eldest takes a different route  entire

that of hanging  on to to the telephone wire

swinging this way and that way as he moves ahead

as I look with fear  and awe   over the  tread

with all the family around me chatting

they being the kin of man in the offing
