Nature Warns.

In the early evening I felt a shudder.

The chair rocked a while.

The table shook a second.

The building jolted  a minute.

The head wobbled dizzy.

There was panic all over.

It was only the  day before.

It was a hot afternoon.

There was not even a breeze.

The tremor caught us unaware.

We were left gaping at the disaster.

The disaster was not heavy.

There were no casualty in the run.

There was no monetary loss in the trend.

The people got evacuated for reasons known

The coastal area felt devastated expressing a frown.

The devastation was not physical to the core.

The scare was thoroughly profound all the more.

The apprehension was killing at the most.

The recollections were fearful foretelling a Tsunami

There was a deadly silence reminiscent of a melancholic sadness.

The desolation carried a reference of  lethal premonition.

The desolation started to overwhelm in magnitude.

The will to live was driving everyone in platitude.

Nature has its own way of signalling its motion.

It warns the people of their shortfalls.

Wittingly,we cause damage to her in our own way.

Destroying the environment morbidly.

Morbidly we throng the habitations in multitudes

Recklessly we contaminate the earth  committing destitute.

Avariciously we work on her for our benefit with self-conceit

Unmindful of her great discomfort and  terrible plight

Patience has been her virtue for long.

Destruction has been our goal for too long.

Playing with Nature is dangerous, mind you

Kidding her virtuosity is harmful,beware.

Humiliating her is perilous,be warned.

She would suddenly break with a vengeance.

Throwing out and tearing  everything in a violence.

A Child Is A Child.

I observe in silence,

I hear in magnitude,

I see in-depth,

That is what I can do.

A child begins her day,

Setting aside everything gay,

Pushing back all her play,

Switching on to the rigorous fray.

She gets ready in a hurry,

Breaks her fast in a flurry,

Casting her likes in a bury,

She walks up in a slurry.

Still sleep lingers in her eyes,

As she opens her reader to a size,

Pouring over the book in a guise,

She follows the teacher with a despise.

From school she comes home,

Falls asleep in her cosy bedroom,

The little girl finds no time to bloom,

Eventually she has to face the doom.

A Remarkable Day

Winding up my work,

Folding all the documents,

Caught hold  of a paper,

Stuck in between the files,

Crushed and crumpled,

Torn and tattered,

I pulled it to throw away,

On second thought opened it,

Startled and staggered,

I gazed at it,

I read it ,

Not once but twice,

I went through it again,

My eye balls came out,

My jaws threw open,

My neck stretched further,

It was,it was——-,

A precious note,

A dear one,

Most valuable,

It was my honours degree,

Well, I myself have forgotten,

Years ago,I clinched the top rank,

Received a gold medal from the chancellor.

I went back some three and a half decades,

Visualised the day in great intensity,

A sprightly young girl hopping on to the stage,

Oh! What a remarkable day it was.

I Wonder.

I wonder,

How life goes about all day?

Invigorating a few most times,

Intimidating most  at  times,

Provoking a struggle all times,

I wonder,

I keep on wondering,

I would wonder till I die.

Well, Death is another wonder,

Snatching  the young at times,

Leaving the old many times,

Saddening all, all the times,

I wonder,

I keep on wondering,

I would wonder till I die.

Mind You

Mind you it  is another day,

Not different from any day,

Mind you it is a usual  wake up,

Not very different from  other get ups.

Mind you it is going about the normal way,

Buying grocery at the sub way,

Holding a while in the mad  traffic,

Exhausting the energy quick.

Mind you it is another page of your life,

Quickly turned  reflecting the hurried strife,

It is a fresh leaf out in the lease,

Cautiously straightened for a release.

Mind you age rolls out in brisk speed,

Withering the face to  a wrinkled seed,

Customs break the beauty  to an  antique calm,

Sagging muscles detonate the  exuding charm.

Mind you  life flows on like a river,

Years move on in a quiver,

Bringing cheer and sadness together,

Well, that is how another day gathers.

It Has to be Back

It is back to the old place,

 Back to the usual pace,

Back in  the familiar space,

Back into the monotonous race.

All things have a back side,

All time has a back tide,

All levels have a back ride,

All steps have a back slide.

Going back home  is a pleasant return,

Reading back is a historical learn,

Falling back is a miserable  spurn,

Back to the original is  never a  possible turn.

A firm backing lands all in a  glamorous zone,

Backing detects in all an infirm tone,

An undue backing for  is precarious prone,

Backing also deletes  in all an individualistic  own.

Well, getting back to the prescribed text,

It is a back up of all the zest,

Restoring the faculties to the best,

Reaffirming the convictions to a test.

It is back to the regular day,

It is back to the  formal say,

It is at times a strenuous  slay,

But it is  always an indefatigable way.

It Should Pass

A day with lovely events has to pass,

As it gets dark,

The light sinks,

Night  descends.

The day passes.

A year with turbulence will pass,

As it sees outbreaks,

Of riots and diseases,

Political feuds  and economic recession,

The year passes.

A generation of people would pass,.

After experiencing hardships,

In personal and career,

In finance and life,

The generation passes.

Everything which has life has to pass,

It is an evolution,

It is a regeneration,

It is wisdom,

To allow all things to pass.

A civilisation has passed,,

After encountering ups and downs,

Through invasion and attacks,

Through years and centuries,

The civilization passes.

How A Day Should Be?

The day is unusually cool with slight drizzle,

Leaving us in a  state of mirth and cheer,

So long the scorching heat made us muzzle,

Pushing us to  undue perspiration and fiery fire.

The pleasant morn   was salubrious  and breezy,

The trees  tossed their leaves in  new-found joy,

The flowers in the plants fluttered  crazy,

The  enlivened city behaved like  a tom – boy.

The streets became alive with hurried moves,

The shops wore a grand festive look,

The schools opened  their doors for sportive  proves,

A little fall in farenheit   listed a veritable shook.

The energy sucked out from habitation,

Sullied the eloquence of the town,

Sending them to a reeling desolation,

Promoting a freckled famished frown.

This day many  schedules got oriented,

With proven care and personal supervision,

The other days cast a feverish unbearable spell,

Subjecting imminent duties to an untold procrastination.

See, what a change the temperate weather brings,

Relieving the pains of excessive  tension  of intolerable heat,

Look, what a progress  would ensue out of spontaneous sings,

Relaxing the fretting mind of pressing deliberate beat.
