The gallery of pictures

who spends hours together
in information technology
serving a nation some
thousands of kilometers away.
burning the midnight oil
and working in shifts
abusing the mind and body
all at a time with receding hair
a small paunch and thick glasses.
Walking with a lag ,eating junk food,
and gazing at the screen, almost
a man of no life and blood
but mechanism and currency
go to form the bet with a cry
whoever strains more gets more
investing in a posh apartment
pays the loan to banks in
equated monthly instalments
finally ends up as a man
relevant of wealth but an
anachronism to the niceties
of which the world is made of.
Well ,coming to the gallery,
this man walks past along
mildly touching the paintings
and photographs with amity
and love that he has
so far missed while playing

Her insinuations are assumed as ignorance by some.
Her inclinations are claimed as innocence by some.

Money is found everywhere.

It is found in stones in fare.

It is seen in paper all fair.

It is the cynosure of all eyes  in glare.

 As paper becomes currency to share,

doubling comes into play albeit to bear,

While stones are mined  from earth bare,

Value enters the fray with care.

When diamonds are excavated in places rare,

created finds its way in  the market with blare.

Gold rush gets ahead  with a snare.

desire  brings about a shy dare.

The longing for such is insatiable in a ware.

Calling for a buy out  in quantities is a trap flare.

It exceeds the capacity in an exhaustive bear.

As it has no precedent.

It may differ in degree  macro or micro.

It might have merit or demerit although.

 

Judgments  are independent.

Not clasped by averment.

Justice  has to uphold truth.

 Not  to downgrade truth.

 

Counsels have to study the case sheets  deep.

Not act shoddily  as though  half asleep.

A sound knowledge of law is a must.

To fight the case when put to test.

 

Each case is a new edict.

Never rely on the previous verdict.

Each one has twist and turn.

Review it  sincerely without a spurn.

 

 Remember, the client is your King.

Never you could  become  a King.

He, who pays you is atop.

You, who receives should never flop.

 

Never try to override him.

If so, you are deceiving him.

He would strike you hard.

And bash you without any regard.

 

Rude gestures would run you out.

Impolite words would throw you out.

Arrogance would doom you forever.

Authority would shun you more so ever.

 

Insecurity in profession drags you perhaps,

Lack of confidence in your ability draws  you perhaps,

A hurried escape might be your requirement perhaps.

An express exit from the situation might be your motive perhaps.

 

Desirous of earning more and more is your goal.

Greed has seized your complacency in a toll.

An attempt to betray the client is highly contemptuous.

Surely, all lawyers, with no exception are perfidious

Once Upon A Time


There was a lovely pond,

Full of water and fish,

The ducks traversed in a bond,

Quacking all the way with a wish,

Water lilies and lotus bloomed beautifully,

The children played around merrily,

One fine day the pond was drained,

Sand was dumped to make it plain,

The pond took the shape of a big ground,

The land value was  zealously found,

Buildings came up in  scores,

Offices started operations in full force,

Thus the pond lost its serenity overnight,

It is an illustration of greed in sight,

It is money that looks  highly grand

Living in a materialistic world,

Where money  has a fastening hold,

Where gold has an exasperating fold,

Love and relations wear away in cold,

Mercy  and compassion look  old,

Where jealousy  and greed  appear bold,

As monetary gains fabulously  enfold.

 

Different kinds of money reign  supreme,

Colors black and white take  the cream,

Black money  encourages  the dream,

It gets  concealed in  the beam

White money flows with  the stream,

It adds revenue to the tax scheme,

As financial profits accrue the steam.

 

Economy is controlled by the powerful,

Wealth is  circumscribed by the deceitful

World at large is  influenced by the tactful,

Prosperity is found  among the  handful,

Poverty oppresses the truthful,

There emits a  craving so  crazy,

which  lets  out an appetite,

Beyond normal respite.


It is an insatiable  avarice,

which is an unyielding instinct,

It is  a  longing amorous,

which  is a unsavouring  grace.


Ever since   the lust  for currency,

Has attained   biblical    heights

Ensuring  intoxicating  rights

Which is an eye for money.
