Great be those who mock at others,

Greater be those who humiliate others,

Greatest be those who   provoke others .

Great ,greater and greatest  be not  your call.

 

Small be those who respect others,

Smaller be those who consider others,

Smallest be those who love others,

Small ,smaller, smallest be your call.

 

Wealthy be those who make money ,

Wealthier be those who mint money,

Wealthiest be those who print money,

Wealthy , wealthier, wealthiest be  not your call.

 

Poor be those who  are reliable

Poorer be those who are honorable,

Poorest be those who are  impeccable,

Poor, poorer, poorest be your call.

 

Distinctions go by your extrinsic status

 Never  by your  intrinsic status,

Following is by your escalated status,

Never by your enhanced status.

 

Never be cowed down by deceit,

Never be  tamed down by illicit,

Ever  hold  pride as upbeat,

Ever hold  value as discreet.

 

Thus let your living  go,

Thus let  your practice go,

Thus let your life have a gentle flow,

Thus let you shine with a steady glow.

Calling it Off


The Confluence in Malaysia diverges in incoherence,

The Family meet 2011 deems a fundamental reference, .
We were carried away by enthusiastic indulgence,
Landing us on a plane of irreconcilable inference,
We ,the hosts ,move ahead with a sense of imminence,
Signalling a call off to regain our pride and preference.


Anyhow, honorable Karumuttus,

To those who have responded,
We express our remorse  defended,
To those who have calls scheduled,
We wish them success alluded,.
To those who have travels precluded ,
We wish them pleasure and Reunion colluded.

A Tower -Tall and High


 The tower yonder is high, very high,

Does it reach the sky?

 Nay it tries to  go above the sky.

Looks great and very high

 

The tower  looks strong  , doubly  strong,

Does it surpass the invincible?

 Nay ,it attempts to show it is invincible,

Appears solid and very strong.

 

The tower looks  gigantic ,really gigantic,

Does it overshadows the undaunted?

Nay,it puts forth a look undaunted,

Feigns a pose inimitable and gigantic.

 

The tower   is high ,very high,

The tower appears strong ,doubly strong

The tower looks gigantic ,really gigantic,

Will it withstand the test of times?

Will it collapse as years roll by?

 

( The poem is a metaphorical allusion . Tower designates the  snobbish  , who feign in vain)

Dwindle Dwindle


It is a scenario of dwindling,

Dwindle goes the economy,

Down goes the jobs,

Dwindle trips the gold,

Down trips the silver,

Dwindle falls the oil.

Down falls the gas,

Dwindle slips the Dollar,

Down slips the Euro.

So far to the materialistic.

 

 

A  scenario of dwindling furthermore.

Dwindle sinks the heart,

Down sinks the spirit,

Dwindle presses the pain,

Down presses the train,

Dwindle folds the fear,

Down folds the rear,

Dwindle  forces  a mishap,

Down  forces an entrap.

So much to the  expressionistic

A Heap out There.


A fastidious bowl over,

An incongruous  show along,

A grotesque feel all over,

As I saw a heap lying along.

 

It was not a pile of waste ,

Nor a wholesome trash,

It was not  a  dusty paste,

Nor a gruesome  crash.

 

It was a  plastic heap,

Lying unmoved for years,

Bags ,bottles buried deep,

Moving earth to tears.

 

It is there steadfast,

Emanating a stench so foul,

People go ahead fast,

Twitching their noses with a growl.

 

It causes affliction,

As it lives persistent,

It incites a perpetuation,

As its extinction  is resistant.

 

It gulps the earth,

In a swift gobble,

It harms the earth ,

To a shaky wobble.

 

Insecurity finds place,

Fertility of the soil is at stake,

Health is in a disastrous phase,

Man encounters a real crisis not fake.

There was a loud thunder,

Then a silence,

There was a great fall,

Then a silence,

There was a hideous clash,

There was a deliberate blow,

Then a silence,

Then a silence,

There was a rattling prattle,

Then a silence,

There was a deafening noise,

Then a silence,

There was, there was ,everything loud,

Yet, there was, there was ,then a silence.

Lovely  to see,

Soft to touch,

Oh ! wish I could ride,

Recalled the bard’s words.

Through the Window


I sat near a window,

Looked down below,

I saw heads many,

Some with  hair black,

Others shining bald.

 

I peeped out of the window,

Looked down below,

I saw figures in  clones

Some  a bag of bones,

Others a  mountain of  fleshy  tones.

 

I stared  through  the window,

Looked down below,

I saw movements apart

Some  making a  hurried depart,

Others entering  from various parts.

 

I  gazed  through  the window,

Looking down below,

I saw  interactions varied,

Some gesturing torrid,

Others gesticulating  horrid.

 

I bent  towards the window,

Looking down below,

I saw the world in a shadow ,

Enacting a beautiful tableau,

Proposing a calibre   pseudo.

Up above the Hills


Driving through undulation.

Crossing the vegetation,

Negotiating the rude  turns,

Breaking through the thorny  ferns,

  We went up above the hills

It was sombre sweet,

Birds chirping a gentle tweet,

 Gleefully whisked along the way,

 Benevolently carried away in  sway,

 We went up above the hills.

 

 

It was refreshing smart,

With breeze blowing aloft,

 Aromatic fragrance spreading across,

Caressingly lifting the nostrils to a gross,

 We went up above the hills.

 

 

It was  green,

Full of sheen,

Layers of lush trail,

Lay freely without bail,

 We went up above the hills.

 

 

It was picturesque,

Never was it  grotesque,

Throwing a colourful hue,

Glowing under a lovely blue,

We went up above the hills.

 

 

It was  totally fresh,

There was no rude brush,

Rendering a breathlessness,

Inducing a  togetherness,

We went up above the hills.

 

 

It was  Nature , pristine nature,

It was a  feature, delightful feature,

The grace was infinite,

The exuberance  was never  too finite,

We went up above the hills.

Announcements are  never easy ,

Unless they aim to be crazy,

Announcements are never late,

Unless they  focus on something great,

Announcements are never slight,

Unless they target on things bright,

Announcements are never possible,

Unless they center round  the  plausible,

Announcements are  never  dogmatic,

Unless they  go around  anything pragmatic.

 

 

Announcements are always a formality,

As they  appear to be a credibility,

Announcements are always a procedure,

As they start-up an adventure,

Announcements are always a buoyancy,

As they instill a substantial relevancy

Announcements are always an anticipation,

As they instigate a suspension,

Announcements should always be absolute,

As they convey directions resolute.
