The Present Century Man

The liberties of man are at question.
Th security of man is at stake,
The financials of man are at nadir.
The thoughts of man are at lowest ebb.
The feelings of man are prosaic.
The work of man is not illustrative.
The portrait of man on the whole
looks grim, glum and hapless.
He being tossed up by the circumstances
He being thrown out in the eternity.
Seemingly he looks sad and melancholic
very worn out and exhausted.
A stature of this century
lacks lustre and grace
much different from what he was
some centuries back
when he was ebullient and enthusiastic
when he was an embodiment of creativity.

Rules And Freedom

The concepts and prescriptions get you tied up.
The themes and traditions restrict your approach.
A free flow with an enlarges sway keeps you on the move.
That which falls under any code lends a boundary.
That which follows the rules suppresses your creativity.
The well-kept garden is a lovely scenario.
The forest in its naturel growth is a fascination.
Therein comes the difference of rules and freedom.
Let the imagination go up and down in its own extension
let it grow sideways too with an elaboration
nothing wrong in doing so as there arises an infinitive
something great would descend from somewhere unassuming
with a fantasy and delight keeping us in great stride.

The Old Gives Way

There is a change in attitude
Families steeped in tradition
taking on to conservatism
following the traditions
have now shed their inhibitions
as the new generation
wish to get away from the age-old customs
try to inculcate new codes
that of participation and equality in everything
not heeding to the elders
not accepting the seniors decision
where there ushers a straight say
and a straighter play and access
taking the rule in the hand
giving importance to individuality
creating a new trend and frontier
where everyone could raise the voice
and where all wish to be heard.
With the acceptance that change
brings in a new way of life
and lively interaction
the old gives way to the new
.

Making Money

A specialist settled in a faraway land
came from moderate background
with a degree not with distinction
but quite an ordinary pass out
he was neither outstanding in studies
nor excelled in practice
but made lot of money
claiming that he is high valued
and people back home believed that so
without getting into the core.
He made money in millions
bought a house worth millions
and his wife not so bright back home
became a realtor of great means
the family flourished and prospered
Knowing fully well of their skills
many sat gaping at their success
and if any suspect their progress people at home
would conclude that it is jealousy that did so.
A few years after, their prosperity dwindled
then came in stories of their erstwhile dealings
very clandestine and very much deviated from the norms
illustrating very well that the rightful earnings
get ahead and stand the test of times
however much they are subjected to consequences
and improvisation very much troublesome.

Keeping the fingers crossed
and saying it is
bolt from the blue
the governance is trying
to pass over the woes
unscrupulously to the people
raising taxes direct and indirect
banning imports of gold
restricting certain benefits

putting the people to hardship.
The citizens have done no harm
but elected these politicians
as their representatives
who did represent the electorate
in a way most contemptuous
as of going illegal
by means of enhancing their wealth
depositing huge amounts in distant lands
standing before the parliament
as helpless as they could pose
accusing the predecessor for the despair.
Well, do such persons have a conscience?
Could they come out from the depth of their heart
and say that they are clean and blameless.
They talk absolute blasphemy
and act rot leading the country to hell.

Interruptions.

An interruption in the life style
deviating from the recorded track
takes one out of gear
that too when there is exhaustion
it is but a break down
both to the spirit and body
there being a large amount of
exertion and disturbance
not required at the juncture
bringing in a loss of temper
and an untold hatred
for what and when not being known
but do creep in unwontedly
making the days miserable
allowing not one to live in peace.

An Exaltation.

The musical melody came through
from where I knew not
it did not rush in with force
but came through in a flow
like a breeze blowing soft could I say
or like a the tides rising gentle
could I attribute with plausibility
They entered through with such ease
rendering a great exaltation
Leaving everything as it is
sat near the window specifically
listening to the musical delight

The Weekends In A Round.

There comes the week-end
with expectations more
while the other days go in speed
these two days stay on with a length
When the anticipations turn to nothing
there arises a disappointment great
The feel leads to a pull out
setting in a sobriety sans joy.
These days pass on like any other
even harder than week days.
As such every day is the same
when the day breaks there is hope
and when it sets down there goes the hope
yet another day dawns with a revival
settling with a retreat and denial
that is the way the world moves on
round and round with not much significance

Off To School

I know a little girl
who never cried going to school.
It is quite unusual, I believe
as I had three boys
who brought the roof down
while they first left for school
They cried and wept
groaned and shouted
banging the floor
refusing to get into the car.
The drive was so unpleasant
with sobs and whimper
finally the drop in school
being the worst
as I have to drag them inside.
Well, that was decades back.
This little girl goes happily
returns home with the same happiness
enjoying every thing there
feeling very independent and not scared
while being resolute in her demands
and definite in her movements
she celebrates each day with cheer
a different set and mould in the offing.

Nice is a simple word
with lot of meaning
carrying innumerable connotations
interpreting various expressions
enumerating different ideas
elucidating numerous thoughts
expressing multitude of feelings
standing for both likes and dislikes
indicating good and bad
involving great and small
all of them in a word
all of them comprised
all of them compressed
with the word “Nice”.
A personification of simplicity
nice,you go out nicely
with a nice smile and a cheer nice too.
