Running out of everything is no excuse.

It is a cowardly attempt in the infuse.

It is a defeat wholly likened to an abuse.

Trials might force an inevitable exit.

Deeds might induce an indelible debit.

Compulsions would drive us to death albeit.

Convictions would retrieve us from extremes in tacit.

 

Well, that would be a case to  take into account,

A case to do research with diligence in the count.

Getting away from the practicalities is a sure discount.

Analysing the deficits with care is a solution paramount.

 

The anxiety to run away is pervading all so.

It would be a temporary reprieve all the more.

Overcoming the tribulations is a task in the fore.

Emerging triumphant is an achievement that soars.

Playing Deceptive-


Yonder, I see a beautiful person,

Getting near I rely on reason,

Beauty is not in the eye, I feel

It is found in the  benign act,I seal.

 

The deceptive looks  deduce a confound.

The sweet smile is actually range bound.

It is a treacherous facility that abounds

Forecasting a terrible tumble  aground.

 

Never be carried away by outward show.

It would lead to a disastrous flow.

The hideous face hides  itself in a profile low.

Waiting for a chance to strike  a severe blow.

 

The blow does not injure the physical limbs.

It would strike deadly on the heart’s rims.

Extracting every sinew of the nerves to the brim.

Inducting a ghastly bloody wound plausibly grim.

 

Light heartedly, they  go about in joyful excitement.

Revelling in the mirth of having struck the target vehement.

One day they would repent for their wicked ploy in indictment.

And endure a harsh curse and drastic swear all in a predicament

Switch ons and Switch offs


It is a twinkle for months together,

It works for a specific time altogether,

Twinkle does it for 3 hours in the morn.

It recedes to a hole in the post morn.

Then it comes out in the afternoon.

Again  for three hours it lights up in the noon

Back it goes down in the dusk.

Remains so almost in a husk.

Appears for an hour from thence.

Quickly disappears  from shining hence.

Surfaces again for an hour-long.

Hides itself in pitch dark for little long.

Shoots up from nowhere all at once.

Will it sustain the switch offs in a sense?

What is it all about? you may wonder.

It might be Greek or Latin to you.

Well, that is what we endure everyday.

Switch ons and switch offs of electricity through the day

Make us wriggle in scorching heat

Affect the industrial output in a beat.

Lets the children study with candles lighted.

The administration  goes about with mirth elated.

Do you want to know about the place,I am talking?

It is Tamilnadu, the southern state of India, in the awakening,

Nevertheless, they say India is shining incredibly!  all the more.

I want to bring to light this failure of electricity to the world more and more

A Silent Killer.


A complex is all-pervading in him,

thinking high in all terms ,

taking into account the physical,

flies with an air of superiority,

assuming to be very grand,

offering to be very elegant.

 

Coming to the brainy part,

 he behaves so emphatic,

extending a witty dialogue,

trying to belittle others,

by the authoritative delivery,

by ignoring the true ingenuity.

 

Such persons go about,

bruising the nearest,

hurling unconsciously bitter words,

hovering over with unobtrusive attention,

carrying ahead without any repentance.

A smile is a smile to me,

it is an expression of happiness,

It looks so to me,

See beyond it,say many

There would be a tinge of joy,

it would bear an outline of anger,

it would conceal a violent temper,

it would camouflage ignorance,

it would also hide a vengeance,

If that is so, I feel,

the smile is no longer a smile.

Just A Stone.


It is just a  huge stone,

It is only a  shapeless stone,

It looks expressionless and prosaic,

It has a  long story behind it.

It has a history unknown to many.

 

The faceless stone has been for centuries,

It has seen generations of men,

It has heard them talk incessantly,

It has noticed them pass uninterruptedly,

It has  recorded confidential matters  silently.

 

The stone had been lying there for ages,

It had not been cared for by one and all,

Disregarding it as lifeless stone,

Incidents took place around it.

 Yet, it lies there unperturbed from time immemorial.

 

You could  easily set aside it as a stone.

Addressing it as a pig-headed bone,

Laughing at it with disdain and contempt,

But do remember if it is turned upside,

It is a question mark that allows us to reason.

It is the exclamation  that points to joy and sadness  according to season.

It is  within inverted commas we quote others which enliven.

It is between the brackets additional information is given.

It is the full stop that puts an end to writing.

 

In life we encounter many struggles and setbacks,

Knowingly or unknowingly we align with one another in the track.

Our alliance might evolve a relationship good or bad.

In course of time we would be subjected to turmoil sad.

The reasoning mind would look with suspicion.

The joy or sorrow would keep us in  tension.

We seek the advice of experienced men.

Bracketing with others we pull on like a hen.

Paradoxical Anachronism


Burning the midnight candle,

the girl was reading aloud,

memorizing the portions,

with or without understanding,

as on tomorrow she writes the examination,

it is a three-hour ordeal,

that sets her career,

the marks she scores,

would lead her in life,

well, it is the marks ,

that call for attention,

it is not the comprehension,

that shapes her future,

it might sound natural to all,

to me it is  avidly alien,

it sounds incorrigible  and unpleasant,

it tastes exclusively bitter,

it is the way of life, they quoth

anything other is an anachronism,they feel,

so, I stand out: an odd woman out.
