Smiling We Go.

A smile lightens the mind
relieving the worry
dispelling the sadness
kindling the self
rejuvenating the spirit.

It is a smile that brings joy
enticing the people around
specially the smile of a child
enlightens those in the vicinity
be them old or young.

The innocence that enliven
the spark that endears
the brilliance that glistens
instill a strong grace
bringing in a lovely place
holding us all in perfect momentum smiling child

Song Of Praise And Love.

download (14)With what little she could spare
she shared it with others.
With what much she could help
she gave it to others.
With what enough she held
she gifted to others.
With how much happiness she received
she passed on to others.
She did not gather much wealth
She was not in her pink of health.
She was all with smile
She extended cordiality to all without fail.
Such women go unhonored
Such women die unnoticed.
To them I would like to sing
a song of praise and love.

The Old Man And The Children

Standing in the gate
an old man was watching
the cars plying up and down
pedestrians walking to and fro.

He stood there
for a time little more
caught a glimpse of
a school bus .

The children saw him standing
waved to him lovingly
gave him flying kiss
through the air.

The old man happily
waved back to them
with eyes wet
went back home.

This has been
his daily routine
for years together
which keeps him going.

The lovely children
who wished him first
would have grown
into handsome adults.

The continuity goes on
year after year non stop
with the children going
in the big bus to school.

Unabated Cry.

The babe was crying.
while the mother was sleeping.
Hearing the baby’s cry
the mother opened her eyes.
Rocked the cradle few times
to make the little one sleep in time.
The baby continued crying.
The mother unknowing
at the moment what to do
resorted to feeding in a go.
The lady of the next house
came in swift toes.
Looking at the baby close
she found a small ant in force
biting the baby under the nose.
Smiling she caught the ant red
and put the baby in the bed.

Mother’s Entry

The little one was crying.
Was it for milk or anything else ?
Kept me wondering.
His cry slowly become a sob.
Was it for milk or anything else?
made me worrying.
It gradually gave way to a whimper.
Was it for milk or anything else?
I started thinking.
The whimper became a whining
Was it for milk or anything else?
The apprehension kept me on tip toe
as the mother walked in softly in a tip toe.
The baby’s whine became a smile in no time

Friendliness is Cheer

friendlinessA gentleman comes out stately with a smile.
He wins everyone with a charming smile
He speaks in a measured tone.
He interacts in a subdued tone.
Helping out with open hands is his way of life.
Lending a hand to the needy is part of his life.
He assists those in dire straits for no return.
His good thought enforces a frequent return.
He gets deep into their crisis for no gain.
He gives them solace which is their gain.
His face is like a beautiful flower.
It exudes warmth and cheer as if one sees a flower.
His face reflects an extraordinary brilliance.
Well, it is the overwhelming friendliness found in exuberance.

They Go Past.

Listening to the wind’s manifesto,

holding on to its gusto,

sailing along with its course,

beating its trail with a force,

the ship tossed in the rough seas.

Moving ahead across the rugged road,

struggling on with a smile broad,

enduring every hurdle with patience,

trying to out-beat the competition with a reference,

she treaded the desolate path all alone.

Braving the storm with diligence

shoved past the ship with an animated presence.

Pushing aside the obstacles with a determination

she raced towards the destination.

Hey  you ! Will they reach their goal ?

The Dimensions Of Half.

The conspiracy  hatched  is half way through.

The dealing is a  half-hearted attempt in view.

The discussion seems to be  half over without a clue.

The outcome is dead, half dead , true.

He enters the scene  with half a mind

He seems to be half awake not totally blind.

He looks half mad without a slightest bind.

He is partially  half dumbfounded  delivering nothing kind.

Half of anything looks good.

Half of anything appears  bad too.

Half of all things describes plenty.

Half of all things  depict a frugality  too

The price quoted is  only half the value.

  Proposing an arbitrary half pursue.

The fixation would bring half the revenue.

Recording  an unproductive reconciliation all through.

The lips curve half denoting a weary smile.

The eyes cast a half look expressing a guile.

The speech is half-baked exposing a frivolous pile.

The gait is half  strained illustrating a peevish style.

The idea half usurps the feasibility most often.

The thought half pitches every now and then.

The outcome  half delineates an uneasiness in turn.

The plausibility of half directs an unsure  enthusiasm solemn.

A Red Flower Over There.

It was a beautiful red flower in full bloom.

It was  a pleasing red .

It was a lovely red.

It was a cheerful red.

It was not angry red.

It was not fiercely red.

It was not  dangerously red.

It beckoned with a grace.

It reckoned with a poise.

It depicted a welcome choice.

It portrayed  a smiling face.

The red flower’s charm lasted a day.

The red colour faded the next day.

The next morn it drooped down dead on the ground grey.

A Four Letter Word.

It is a four letter word.

Call it what you may.

It is  on the sign board.

It  denotes a place.

Many names are below it.

They also stand for places.

The four letter word stands first.

Look at it, nothing else.

The command reckons.

She being a scholar stays put.

She gazes at it from afar.

Nothing is visible.

The colours blue and white sparkles.

She sits  puzzled.

She sees no letters

She perceives  a writing vague.

She squints her eyes.

Tries to decipher.

She could not.

It is a four letter word.

Shouts  the voice.

She keeps silent

She has become an illiterate.

She expresses a wry smile.

She makes no noise.
