A call From A Mobile Phone.


Mobile phone is called as cell phone in some parts of the world,

Cell phone is  referred as hand phone in other parts of the world,

It is a phone lying unattended somewhere in my world

 

Mobile phones have made great strides recently,

Everyone has it even during his ride definitely,

Exposing his life to a an alarming danger certainly.

 

People can reach us wherever we are is a plus

They can trouble us from wherever they are is a minus,

Keep us posted of  wanted and unwanted news is a trespass.

 

 All said and done to me, far from being useful it is just handy ,

 All for the matter to me it is expensive but small and funny,

All the much so to me it is  a gadget that remains a mystery.

 

Do I really need a mobile is my call?

Ma ,you should possess one is my boys call,

I do not need one as I rarely move out is my call.

 

Factually,my life is a movement  from one room to another,

I never venture out of my home  at any cost how so ever,

A mobile is an unnecessary to a home bird like me all so ever.

 

I do own a mobile,I know not for what,

I placed it in my cupboard from the day I bought,

A Therapy Unknown


The mind is bare of thoughts,

The writing seeks for words,

An uneasy gusto retraces ,

A little pity seeps up,

What to write and what not?

Often it recurs with a flash,

The desire to write surfs up,

Quelling the mind’s stubbornness,

I write, i write,still to keep me going,

As it is a therapy that keeps me active.

Schools Of Yester Year.


Years ago children loved school,

it was another home to them,

Learning was never cumbersome,

It rendered a development wholesome.

 

Children learnt with ease,

Numbers were easily mastered,

Letters were finely read,

Everything went directly to the head.

 

Learning was both study and play,

Simple practices enabled counting

Carry over was established in adding,

Take away was used in subtracting.

 

Language  became a felicitous facility,

Grammar opened up the intricacies,

Usage delivered the delicacies,

Communication became relevancies.

 

It was an enjoyable experience,

The teacher and taught worked together,

There was no pressure or ill feeling rather,

A Baby’s First Crawl


Lying down on his stomach ,

Looking around to check,

Pulling his legs to the fore,

 He fell down on the floor.

 

He got hurt to an extent,

He cried to his heart’s content,

Then attempted  again,

Alas ! he slipped in the bargain

 

He threw an angry look around

Stared in anger at the ground,

Shouted something in a loud voice

He stretched himself in a choice.

 

The baby became restless,

 He slowly dragged his legs breathless,

Steadied himself to a right position

He remained waiting for the next decision.

 

He suddenly  took a four-legged step,

 Moved his right leg in a forward pep,

The left one followed in a quick,

Architecting an advance like a trick.

 

The ruse went on for a little time,

It was like a poetic rhyme,

The crawl was with a rhythmic ease,

That brought no ridiculing tease.

 

It was fun  to see him crawl  for the rest,

It was for him a  highly priced test,

He had taken a move daring,

A Baby Sleeps


A little baby is lying in a cradle,

 She is making  noises in a babble,

Her cries are calls a little feeble,

She mostly lets out a giggle.

 

The baby is like a dainty rose,

Tiny appears her fingers and toes,

Her face enlightens all those,

Her smile ensues a lovely glow.

 

Soon her eyes gently close,

She sucks her thumb in a doze,

  As her charm increasingly grows,

Opening out to all an ecstatic source.

 

It is a pleasure to see her sleep,

Her light slumber is not deep,

She gets startled at a tiny beep,

Forcing a stealthy silence in a creep.

 

Peeping over the cradle for long,

Sends a tranquil vibration all along,

Sets the mind at peace not wrong,

Makes the heart sing a merry song.

 

It is a pleasure unexplainable,

It is a leisure unfathomable,

Oh!Is not my verse lovable?

Nay,it is the  way the baby sleeps  is enjoyable.

It is blue deep blue.

 Water in a beautiful hue,

Waves rolling out without a clue,

Kissing the shore with an amorous  cue.

 

 

Winding goes the long drive,

Bends come in a notation live,

The mighty ocean rises in a strive,

Breathing out an awe in a  thrive.

 

Intermittent bays appear on the way,

Scintillating scenery hold us in a sway,

The huge trees stand in the fray,

Expressing a magnificence all the way.

 

The hills slopes up and down,

A little steep and brown.

The eucalyptus grows in a lanky throng,

Enhancing the charm to an ecstatic  song.

 

Down goes the road at times,

Up  climbs the  path at times,

Presenting an enticing scenario  all times,

Lifting us to a  lofty frenzy most times.

Poor be those who  are reliable

Poorer be those who are honorable,

Poorest be those who are  impeccable,

Poor, poorer, poorest be your call.

 

Distinctions go by your extrinsic status

 Never  by your  intrinsic status,

Following is by your escalated status,

Never by your enhanced status.

 

Never be cowed down by deceit,

Never be  tamed down by illicit,

Ever  hold  pride as upbeat,

Ever hold  value as discreet.

 

Thus let your living  go,

Thus let  your practice go,

Thus let your life have a gentle flow,

Save the Land


Pots and  earthen tableware,

Lovely and less of fare,

Eco friendly and  a fine spare,

The clay burnt to certain temperature,

Most so simple and decorative in all feature.

 

Food cooked in earthen ware is extremely  tasty

Adding an aroma of earth only too savoury,

Ensuing a healthy strain all too easily,

Might sound a drift very drastic,

Nevertheless it  should become dogmatic.

 

 

Plastics, polyurethane  look so attractive,

They have an unbreakable identity,

Easy to handle is the prerogative,

Touch not  the plastic ware with your  hand,

They are symptomatic of hazards grand,

Levying man heavily affecting his gland,

Enriching oneself all along ,

Has been the way so long,

Now tables have turned ,

Attitudes  have changed,

Releasing  an uncomfortable strong.

 

Acquiring richness  was a pride,

Involving a comprehensive ride,

That include all the  qualities best,

Power, Money, Grace and Poise to a test,

Signifying a glow and a bliss along side

 

Connotations differ in  recent times,

With wealth in the form of dime,

Allows  those in authority to track  resource,

In the guise of licences and insider trading  recourse,

Gaining in enormous resultant income for the rest of times.

 

So far so good as the excitement lasts,

The luxury and fame have been cast,

Suddenly eyebrows get raised,

Suspicion looms large in manner phased,

Leading to an investigation fast.

 

So much so the suspension laps up,

Fingers point to the man at the top,

The less powerful go  to the prison quick,

The most powerful dodge the judge to blink,

Delaying their entry by negotiating a tie up.

 

One by one they go in a disciplined  row,

The minister, the secretary, the executive all toe,

The jail overflows with billionaires  illegal

Hitherto it hosted only  criminals legal,

Streams of greed, impudence, and cheat converge in a flow.
